| Eagle
Bridge Machine & Tool, Inc. has tripled its high-speed production
capacity with the installation of fully automated Toyoda CNC machining
systems.
The
Toyoda systems allow EBM to program and precision-machine hundreds
of different jobs simultaneously, on a computer-controlled, 24-hour
schedule. "This system qualifies EBM to be a truly competitive
American manufacturing company," said Lisa Hornung, EBM Assistant
Production Manager. "We continue to be a very stable and fast-growing
local company, providing good jobs for area residents."
Karl
Capella, CNC Programmer at EBM, supervises the operation of the
Toyoda systems. "It's 21st century technology," he said. "It gives
our customers maximum quality and efficiency with minimum time
constraints."
Each
of the two Toyoda cells are equipped with an 18-pallet linear
system, and also includes a phone connection to Capella's home
computer, allowing 24-hour oversight of all operations.
"I
can check the status of all the jobs at any time," Capella said.
"We'll
be able to greatly increase our capacity with the Toyodas. It
also frees up our other machines to take on additional work."
